i love being a girl.

I love chick flicks. I've pretty much loved them since my mom took me to see The Wedding Planner in theaters. I could have gone on forever with this post, and I'm not sure if I even picked my very favorites, but I decided to let these five suffice. In other words, Sweet Home Alabama wouldn't work and I could have spent forever looking for clips from The Holiday, Kate & Leopold, My Best Friend's Wedding, 13 Going on 30, .... well, you catch my drift. My poor future husband is going to be subjected to far too many of these.

So, here's some of the things I love about chick flicks

1. The sappiness. I have no shame in admitting that I love a little cheesiness in a relationship. 

2. I love the writing in chick flicks. And the lines where the man makes his girl feel like a woman.

3. The men. Don't they always pick the most attractive ones (or at least make them SO attractive to you by the end?)

4. The jokes made especially for girls (that even dudes like).

Let me start with one of my favorites... I've only mentioned this one like three times on my blog so far.

"I wanted it to be you. I wanted it to be you so badly."

"Happy Thanksgiving back."

"You can't eat that caviar! It's a garnish!"

And then one about deciding what you want.

Not even one of my favorites, but I absolutely love this letter. . .

"Thank you for the honor of being my wife."



Jane Austen just understood...

"And I love. I love. I love you." 

He's younger than me... but who doesn't love a little Taylor Lautner when he's in a well-written movie? 

Yes.

So, moral of the story: I just want a man to want me like Tom Hanks wants Meg Ryan.

Is that too much to ask?
