Yesterday was move out day at my apartment. Lots of
cleaning… which meant lots of fumes… blech. BUT that apartment is spotless, as
in, I’m pretty sure you could eat dinner off of the bathroom floor (still
wouldn’t recommend it though). It’s too bad that you put all of that work in
and then move out twenty minutes later. Oh well!
So I’m at home now until I leave for Africa.
Here are the top 10 things about living at home:
10. Refrigerator full of food that I can touch (and it’s
like, twice the size)
9. No sirens to be heard from the street
8. No rent due! Grateful that my parents are giving me some
time at home to save up some money for my travels this summer.
7. Being able to stay in my single’s ward in Provo. The
people in my home ward are great, but I have loved my ward in Provo. It will be
nice to keep attending my Provo ward and not have to make as many transitions
this summer.
6. THE SOFTEST BED EVER! Oh how I’ve missed the beds at
home!
5. The size of my closet has tripled since yesterday. I
love having my two sisters at home.
4. A weekend without homework! Spring classes start Tuesday,
so I know this feeling of relief is temporary, but I’m trying to relish in the
solace for a while.
3. New space- my mom has been so nice and has cleared some
room out in the basement so that I can have some space just to myself.
2. Little kids that want to hang out with me. J My brothers have
already watched one movie with me, offered
to give me a back rub, and my nephew was my cute little helper yesterday.
1. How excited my mom has been to have me home. Love her and
it feels good to know that I’ve been missed. That’s been the single best thing
about being home so far.
