Today I realized something.
There’s a difference between
bettering yourself and battering yourself.
I think sometimes we mix up the two.
I know I do.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s been a great week, but I’m just
hitting that point in the semester when I have so much to do that sitting in
class seems like a complete and utter waste of time (ironic, right?).
“People are always
blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don’t believe in
circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up
and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can’t find them, make
them.”
–George Bernard Shaw
That being said, I don’t want to ornery simply because my
lack of sleep tells me I should be. I don’t want to be peeved when things don’t
go my way. And finally, I don’t want to feel frustrated because I feel
imperfect today. I want to accept where I am now, and choose to be happy
today.
So here are the things that are making me happy now:
1. General Conference in one week. If you don't know what this is, find out here.
2. Family in town for Spring Break (even if I don't get one).
3. Angel roommates that help me look on the bright side of life.

Love your blog, Megan! Being happy can certainly change the world (or at the very least, your view of it)! Loves and happiness always!
